Co-Applicant, Nordic welfare states and the dynamics and effects of ethnic residential segregation

Timo Kauppinen
I am a sociologist working currently at the National Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) in Finland. Earlier I worked at the Department of Sociology, University of Helsinki. My past and present research themes include neighbourhood effects, housing and residential segregation of immigrants, social assistance recipiency, and geographical differences in well-being. In the NODES project, I concentrate on the longitudinal statistical analysis of housing careers of immigrants.
